Our biodiesel is a renewable fuel which can power existing diesel engines without modification. Biodiesel can be used “neat” (pure biodiesel) or as a blend. Blends are a combination of diesel and biodiesel like B10 is 90% petrol diesel and 10% biodiesel or B50 is half diesel and half biodiesel. A study performed by the Department of Food and Agriculture found that B10 reduced hydrocarbons by up to 30%, carbon monoxide by up to 20% and particulate matter (the black stuff you see spewing out of our school buses) by up to 15%. Research also documents the fact that the ozone forming potential of the hydrocarbon emissions of pure biodiesel is 50% less than that of petroleum fuels.
